Between physical, and digital books, I can safely say the number must be at least 100. I still have unread books I brought home from a trip to Scotland.
And yet, I run my finger over spines, shrug, move on, and head to the library to find entirely different books.
The bookshelf equivalent of having nothing to wear, I suppose.
Oh dear, I am not sure I want to think about it in terms of percentages. Heh. Let’s see. I probably have about 20 meters of read books and I think six meters of undread. Whew. Not as scary a number as I thought. Probably inaccurate because I’m very roughly estimating, but still.
greatexhortations

There are a few I wonder why I bought in the first place…

I keep mostly my nonfiction, but I still have enough “on hand” that I could probably read from my own shelves for the rest of my life! (That’s only a bit of an exaggeration.) http://bonniesbooks.blogspot.com/2015/04/btt-48-unread.html
Reblogged this on Elizabeth Willse: Surrounded by Books and commented:

I’m glad to be posting again. =)
If I could slow down on the book buying and concentrate on the ones I have then I might get them all read! Here’s my full answer.
I don’t own or buy as many books as I used to, so I’m doing pretty well!
Too many! I’d probably guess about 85%! I’m addicted to picking up books at the library, so that’s a major problem of mine.
Just under half, I think. http://novel-idea-dithers.blogspot.co.uk/2015/04/unread.html
I’m also behind on read my ebooks and print books: https://mervih.wordpress.com/2015/04/17/unread-2/
