    Varies widely. Usually one or two books, but I have had up to three or four going at once. Cases also vary:
    - getting bored with first book so give it a break
    - “ooh new book gotta start this one even though I haven’t finished the last one yet”
    - getting a book that needs to be passed on quickly so read it then get back to the previous book
    - finding a non-fiction heavy going and start a light fiction as a relief
    - change of mood.

    Sometimes same genre, more often different genres.
