Multi-tasking

btt button

Do you do other things while you read? Watch TV? Cook? Brush your teeth? Knit?

(For the record, I’m guilty of all of the above.)

Or is it a quicker question to ask when you DON’T read? (Please tell me you don’t read while you’re driving.)

Don’t forget to leave a link to your actual response (so people don’t have to go searching for it) in the comments—or if you prefer, leave your answers in the comments themselves!

  1. I don’t do anything else while reading except eat and drink 🙂

  2. When I’m reading reading I do nothing else. I cant have two info streams coming in at same time (e.g. music, tv etc)

When I’m listening to an audiobook, I can be ironing, sewing, dusting, cooking etc.

  3. It’s been in forever since I have participated in this! My Post

  4. I can’t multitask reading 🙂

  5. I’m pretty much always listening to music when I read. I also read while watching TV (during the show if I’m not that interested, during the ads if I want to see it). I read in the bath, while cooking, and on occasion I’ve been known to read while walking through a park, that was years ago though and I don’t tend to read and walk any more.

  6. I usually read while doing other things, so thank God for my Kindle!

  8. I may have some soft background music playing, but I let nothing else interfere with my reading.

  9. Depends on the format. When I listen audiobooks I tend to multi-task all the time: http://mervih.wordpress.com/2014/01/30/multi-tasking-2/

  10. Love the question for the week and I cannot wait to see what the rest of you say. Here’s my answer:
