Today’s question is suggested by Carrie.

What’s the most desperate thing you’ve read because it was the only available reading material?

If it was longer than a cereal box or an advertisement, did it turn out to be worth your while?

Don’t forget to leave a link to your actual response (so people don’t have to go searching for it) in the comments—or if you prefer, leave your answers in the comments themselves!

    I’ve just posted mine here.

The summary: I read the safety manual in the pocket of an airline seat. And I’m already an anxious flier under the best of conditions…

The most desperate thing I’ve ever read is the back of a plastic bottle of Rejoice Complete shampoo. Figure out where and why I was reading it…

Worth my while? Not really. It was in Indonesian and I can’t read Indonesian ^_^

“People” magazine or other magazines that I don’t buy and rarely read. Read while waiting for doctor/dentist/hospital/etc. Only worth while in the sense that it was better than sitting and twiddling my thumbs. Doesn’t happen often. If I have even the slightest suspicion I’ll have to wait, I bring a book or some cross-stitch to do.

I’m never out of reading material at home. Worst case scenario, I reread a favourite! Same when visiting most family and friends.

Great question…I have blocked some of the bad ones from my memory!
