btt button
A while ago, I interviewed my readers for a change, and my final question was, “What question have I NOT asked at BTT that you’d love me to ask?” I got some great responses and will be picking out some of the questions from time to time to ask the rest of you. Like now.

Bookish Sarah asks:

If someone asked you for a book recommendation, what is the FIRST book you’d think to recommend (without extra thought)?

Don’t forget to leave a link to your actual response (so people don’t have to go searching for it) in the comments—or if you prefer, leave your answers in the comments themselves!

  1. I recommend based on what a person wants. Here’s a children’s book I highly recommend:

Reading is very personal, so a recommendation should be based on a person’s interests.

Here’s mine: Realms of an Open Mind

    Happy Reading 🙂

  3. Here’s mine! It’s nice to talk a little about what part of my job was for a year. 😀

  4. I try to base recommendations on personal interests but if I had to recommend something without extra thought here is my answer
    Happy Thursday!

  5. Here’s mine!

  6. This question definitely made me think. Can’t wait to see what other people posted. Here’s my BTT:

This is so easy for me. “I am the Messenger” by Markus Zusak. It is my favorite book.

  8. I recommended a classic favorite, The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe. Check it out here:

  9. Excellent question—I often ask readers what their favourite genres are before I recommend a title, but I’ve managed to craft my “knee-jerk suggestion” for the sake of this prompt! 😉

  10. New Blogger here! Here is my BTT: It’s the first and only post of today so you can’t miss it!

  11. I love sidestepping questions by blatantly not answering them. It’s obviously what I do best!

  12. My BTT is up. One book is a bit tough.

  13. The Nerdy Reader

So I broke the rules and had to recommend two. But I promise, they’re both worth it!

  14. Anthony Trollope ‘The Warden’. Simple as that!
