  1. Sure, some of the crappiest books make the greatest guilty pleasures. Case in point – The Twilight Saga.

  2. Good question! It stumped me for a few minutes, but I got there in the end. Here’s mine.

I suspect, like most everyone, I’ve chosen to expand the definition of “crappy.”

  10. Umm… no. Haha! I’ve started a crappy book or two in my time and I almost always stop reading. I don’t think I would ever “crave” bad literature in the sense that I don’t like it. Why waste the time?

My What Were They Thinking? post is up at The Crowded Leaf.

  13. I have put my comments up on my blog – but this is what I said:

Well one person’s crappy is another person’s treasure – what I may think is extremely bad, unpleasant, or inferior; lousy – maybe given a literary award. So no I don’t crave bad books, whatever the genre, I always expect to enjoy the experience whether it is a serious study on a topic that interests me or a light and fluffy romance and all points between.

  14. Great question!! Took me a while to come up with some sort of answer!!

    Here it is..

  16. I crave crappy books way more than literature. Crappy is more fun ! 🙂

  17. One summer, fairly recently, I began to read Michael Connelly novels that I was checking out of the public library. I could blast through one very quickly. They were a bit addicting, absolute crap, and I loved reading them.
