Since “Inspiration” is (or should) the theme this week … what is your reading inspired by?

Don’t forget to leave a link to your actual response (so people don’t have to go searching for it) in the comments—or if you prefer, leave your answers in the comments themselves!

I am curious about what time the question is posted. I was up past midnight and checked then, but it wasn’t there. I checked around 6:45 this morning (couldn’t post then as I was getting my son ready for school, but I like to see the question and think about it before posting) and there were over 20 responses already.

  32. I’m a newbie! My first post is at

    Love the questions here!

  33. Personally, I like books that I can learn something from. I think that’s why I enjoy the classics so much. Even if the theme of the book isn’t historical, it happened so long ago that you learn something about the lifestyles of those times.

I especially like when there is a religious undertone to the book. I am a very religious person and I love when spirituality is worked into a story even if it isn’t what the story is about. Like in Jane Eyre for example. That always seems to inspire me to take a closer look at my own life and daily relations with my Father in Heaven.

I know that a book is really good when you finish it and wished that there was just one more chapter.
