A deceptively easy question for this week (easy to ask but possibly hard to answer): What are/were your favorite book(s) of the year? (Bonus points if you know how many books you read.)

Don’t forget to leave a link to your actual response (so people don’t have to go searching for it) in the comments—or if you prefer, leave your answers in the comments themselves!

  1. I am usually one of the last to leave my reply (doing this question on Friday), but it seems this time I am the first. Well, first of all, a happy and healthy 2013 to all of you, and here is the link to my answer.
    Kind regards

I’ve read 29 books this year. (30 if I can finish the book I’m reading now.) Way less than I was planning to. :(

    Breed by Chase Novak

I achieved the goal of reading 100 books this year, finishing with 107. But I’m still pondering at my favorite books at this moment. I try not to go over my notes and journals, just trying to see what books jump at me when I reflect.

  11. Dana Huff Says:

Here is my list. They didn’t come out in 2012, necessarily, but that’s when I read them. http://www.danahuff.net/?p=4340

Mine’s here. I couldn’t narrow it down very much! Mine are also not all 2012 releases, just books I picked up this year. 2012 Favorites

The books I read this year are all on the sidebar of my blog – at least I think they all made it there. http://wearflyingnow.blogspot.com. My favorite books this year were my annual reading of “Pride & Prejudice” by Jane Austen; “On The Edge: My Story” by Richard Hammond; “Testament of Youth” by Vera Brittain; “A Rose for the Crown” by Anne Easter Smith; “The Maid of Fairbourne Hall” by Julie Klassen; and, last but not least “Overseas” written by my good friend, Beatriz Williams. All in all I read 50 books this year.
