If you could get a sequel for any book, what would it be?

Basically, I’d like to see more stories by authors set in the continuity/world of their series–Harry Potter and Dragonlance most notably. Most of what I read is series stuff, so by virtue of being part of a series and if there’s not an official “final book,” then I already “know” there’ll be a sequel. In the case of say, Grisham, King, and Meltzer, their books seem to generally stand well as one-shot things; though it’s cool when subsequent books even have a throw-away line referencing an earlier book, establishing each as existing in a “shared universe,” even if protagonists and the specific premise of the book is in no way any kind of direct follow-up/continuation of something.

Loved this question – much prefer wishing for sequels instead of wishing for books to just END already Here’s my answer: http://deadbookdarling.blogspot.com/2011/10/wishing-sequels-into-existence-btt.html

  13. I would love to have a sequel to Last Sacrifice (Vampire Academy)!! Ok, happy ending and so on, but after reading the whole serie and after all that fighting for Dimitri, I think the ending in Last Sacrifice was too fast. I want a story of Rose and Dimitri and their happiness. Don’t get me wrong – I know about Bloodlines and I will read it – but I want a story for Rose too <3 Just to see what were we fighting for in 6 books ;)

    happy reading,
    nea

Never, ever, have I wanted to be somewhere with a cast of characters like I did at the end of Guernsey.
