For something different, I’m borrowing a question from … here! One of the very first questions ever at Booking Through Thursday. Back from 2005 when Laura owned the blog but, because it was so new, it didn’t get as many responses as it does now … so, why not revisit?

Here’s the question:

Some people read one book at a time. Some people have a number of them on the go at any given time, perhaps a reading in bed book, a breakfast table book, a bathroom book, and so on, which leads me to…

  1. Are you currently reading more than one book?
  2. If so, how many books are you currently reading?
  3. Is this normal for you?
  4. Where do you keep your current reads?

Don’t forget to leave a link to your actual response (so people don’t have to go searching for it) in the comments—or if you prefer, leave your answers in the comments themselves!

  31. Toni Dupont Says:

I guess my post will just have to be different – I have a website in progress, but no blog yet so I have no place else to write my comments except here.

    1. Are you currently reading more than one book?

    of course

    2. If so, how many books are you currently reading?

currently 5 books, that I can remember right now
unless we count audiobooks, then the count jumps to 7

    3. Is this normal for you?

absolutely – I don’t want to carry my books from one room to the next and then lose track of where I left my book, so I keep reading material everywhere.

    4. Where do you keep your current reads?

+2 on the lower shelf of my night stand
+1 in the baby’s room, for those times she has fallen asleep in my arms but I don’t want to move her yet
+1 in my car, usually a repeat reader, that I can read in waiting rooms
+1 in the living room, usually whatever I’m reading with my oldest daughter (currently we are reading Twilight together)
+1 audiobook in the car for my driving commutes
+1 audiobook on the ipod, only to be listened to at the gym, which motivates me to get there more often to workout

  32. Emily Says:

    Mine’s up…I’m definitely a one-at-a-time kind of reader!
