Booking Through Thursday

  1. Okay, love him or loathe him, you’d have to live under a rock not to know that J.K. Rowling’s final Harry Potter book, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, comes out on Saturday… Are you going to read it?
  2. If so, right away? Or just, you know, eventually, when you get around to it? Are you attending any of the midnight parties?
  3. If you’re not going to read it, why not?
  4. And, for the record… what do you think? Will Harry survive the series? What are you most looking forward to?

    I’m not going to write a post on this because I guess I’m one of those rare people who has never read H.P. and who doesn’t even care for the movies! A good subject though…

    On a slightly similar topic, you can drop by ASF for a list of my favorite movies from my childhood.

    I don’t think I would have cared for H.P. as a child, either in its book or movie format. I suppose you could wonder how I know that having never read the books. It’s just a feeling about what attracts me or not…and the fact that I wasn’t charmed by the first movies!

    Or just, you know, eventually, when you get around to it? MAybe 1 or 2 years when the library reserve list drops to below 10.
    Are you attending any of the midnight parties? NOPE
    If you’re not going to read it, why not? They were getting repetitive
    And, for the record… what do you think? started off good, but last 2 books are repetitive.
    Will Harry survive the series? He better or JKR will be lynched!! LOL

    I have to say - I started reading this series before the world went Harry Potter mad.

    The book I am holding in my hand has been waited for for a many years - I am almost too scared to read it - once I have read it - then that’s it - no more!
